On October 21, 2026, the cloud development platform Railway Blog disclosed a 37-hour security incident where an unauthorized party gained access to systems storing customer environment variables. Render and upstream infrastructure providers suffered downstream exposure. As a proactive security measure, Codetist has temporarily suspended plugin downloads, marketplace sync, and remote extension registry queries until we have fully patched and verified endpoint integrity. **Impact & Scope:** * **Plugin Marketplace & Downloads:** Temporarily offline. New plugin installations and updates are paused. * **Remote Secrets Sync:** Cloud synchronization of environment variables is paused. * **Registry Telemetry:** Extension publication queries and stats reporting are offline. * **Local Editor Workflows:** Local files, terminal tools, and previously installed extensions continue to operate normally. Our engineering team is actively patching endpoints and auditing credential rotations. We will post updates here as systems are verified and brought back online.
